Mommy don't be sad,
Daddy please don't cry.
No one asks for this pain,
No one asks to die.
I've gone to the angles now,
I've gone to Grandpa too.
I just want you to remember,
I will always watch over you.
Things are getting darker now,
I'm running out of breath.
I wish you were here to hold me,
I wish I didn't have to go yet.
The car came out of nowhere,
I swear it wasn't me.
He hit me in the passenger door,
Then slammed me into the tree.
There is blood all over the place,
And most of it is mine.
I never would have imagined,
That today would be my time.
I am lying here dying,
and all I can do,
Is imagine your face,
and you holding me too.
And yet somehow still,
Those words in my head,
'Be Careful and I love you'
The last words you said.
