Do We Ever Live?

Do we ever live?

As soon we are born, we start to slowly wither away and die.
Corroding and deteriorating before everyone’s eyes and no one can stop it,
losing all hope in the world we live in and all the damn people in it.

Do we ever live?

Most of our lives we lead a lie that all is good, but we cannot see past the
veil that clouds our mind. And when we finally see this life for what it
truly is we are too late. Some of us are unfortunate to come across this
discovery at an early age and decide that it isn’t worth it, that nothing
can cure us of this dependable ruin. They quicken their impending doom with
a sharp blade.

Do we ever live?

We are bombarded with hate from every place we look in this forsaken world.
We are frowned on for being unique, steely eyes look at me, and I hear the
word “freak”. Conformity haunts my every step, but I rebel. I ask the
question, “Do we ever live?”
