Sudden surprise

a shiny silver arc

you can't think to know what it is

but deep inside your bones know exactly what to expect

red rushing

unexpected warmth

just as quick, you're on the ground

and you can't think of why

chilly steel tastes the skin upon your throat

sudden comprehension as panic sets in

a rough, harsh voice whispers something you cannot hear

as you sense as though drunk that your things were taken

footsteps rush quickly away as you feel

dizzy and numb yet pleasantly drowning

a sudden seduction you try desperately to escape

as you take the next breath

you find you cannot scream

you think desperately this is unreal

the world is lit by a dim candle

and suddenly the flame is exstinguished
