Love is what makes you
And it also breaks you
Love is what you want to cherish
Yet you want nothing to do with it
Love can be given
It also can be taken
Love is so clear
But also mysterious
If love is supposed to be painless
Why does it hurt so much?
If love is felt
Why is it not felt by another?
If love can change everything
Why doesn’t it change your sadness?
If love is a gift from god
Then why doesn’t everyone receive it?
You say love is everlasting
Then why does it end so quickly?
If love is such a bright thing
Why does it feel so dark?
If love can lead you through foggy ways
Why do u get lost
If love is the strength in a relationship
Why does it fall apart?
Now u tell me what love is
Is it reality?
Or a dream
Is it supposed to give you happiness?
Or a life of pain?
