How Long?

How long since last these eyes drank
from the overflow cup of her beauty?
How long since last I was intoxicated
with her scent as she lay beside me sleeping?
How long since last these arms engulfed
her gentle frame as we found solace cuddling
together in heart-felt silence?
How long since last these ears went deaf
to all the world save the sweet, lilting music
of her whispered “I love you”?
How long? Too long.

How long since last we let our desire
for each other command us;
let our beings converged in a collision
of passion and pleasure?
How long since last these fingers traveled
the hills and valleys of her curves,
exploring every inch of her soft, mocha skin?
How long since last these lips savored the river
of nectar that rushes from her aching body
at that explosive moment of ecstasy?
How long since last her moist warmth
embraced me and filled me with
such sensations as I have never felt before?
How long??? Too long.
