The words i spoke
took on a life of their own
they flew out of my mouth
and left me alone
I sat there grasping
to get them back
but i had to sit
and watch them attack
They cut you deep
right through your soul
I could do nothing
I lost all of my control
The words i spoke
took my power away
i had to sit there
and watch them go astray
I could do nothing
I was left powerless
I sat there without a pulse
and completely lifeless
The words i spoke
cannot be brought
back to my mouth
but the lessons they have taught
will last forever
I know watch what I say
because i know the words
cannot be taken away
