What if love was an act?
You could choose whether or not to do.
I’m not too sure if I’d actually choose,
To be in love with you.
I hate the way I feel when you leave.
& I don’t like it when you’re mean.
I’d rather be able to sleep at night,
Without me crying in my dreams.
I wish I could feel your love in return,
Instead of only feeling you.
I wish you could see the hope in my eyes.
Baby, if you only knew.
I don’t wanna worry anymore,
About how long you’re mine to keep.
I wanna know we’re gonna be happy,
Tonight as I lay down to sleep.
What if love was an act?
That you could choose whether or not to do.
I’m not too sure if I’d actually choose,
To be in love with you.
Though you make me feel on top the world.
Even if, in your eyes I’m not.
Having you in my life,
It seems I’ve forever sought.
Every time you smile at me,
In that passionate way.
For that moment in time,
I’d wish everything stayed the same.
Life will never remain,
Just as relationships wont always be.
But I love seeing myself in your eyes.
I wish that forever you’d see me.
So what if love was an act?
You could choose whether or not to do.
I’m not too sure if I’d actually choose,
To be in love with you.
But, baby, don’t take this personally,
& Think that you’re not everything.
Because t he moment you walked into my life,
Was the same moment that you saved me.
