Mirrors Are Broken

These marks upon my back were not from you
But only the circumstances that I've been put through
With my head up I will now carry on
Hand in hand you will come with me
Accompany me til the end of eternity
(Will you?)

Never can cuts like these fade
Your face glows, illuminating the sky at night.
But when all is gone, no more remains
Even memories have been vanquished
Will my soul, my essence, rest in peace.
And with these pieces, I hand to you
Another letter that only deals my ramblings
Meanings are blurred, non-existant at times
Never will I be able to understand why
Yet I continue on, without a course of direction
(What have I become?)
Something that dwells inside has grown
Awaiting release to thrive and destroy
Maim, kill, slaughter, repeat.

Glow red with hate, ascend my love.
Don't follow me, cut a path of your own
My life will tread upon ground where no others walk
Instability plauges this realm...
But I'll disappear, never to return
Never to be held. And I'm sorry.
