A nice and happy summer day
Kids playing in the sun
All but little Johnny,
He got his daddy’s gun

He noticed his parents fighting,
More and more each day
It is all Johnny’s fault
That is what they seem to say

All his friends have gone away
For the summer time
Now he is all alone
And is going to cross the line

He took the gun and went to his room
A silent tear ran down
He cocked the gun and said good bye
And then he crumpled to the ground

His dad came home to find him
Laying so still
Gun in hand, blood still wet
It made his father ill

A warm and happy summer day
Johnny ended his life
Sad he was just 14
But he ended all his strife
