You would not look me in the eye,
never a kiss to say good-bye.
You would not tell me what was wrong,
just a peace of mind,for that I long.
Tell me why you wont answer the phone,
are you ignoring me? Or are you just not home?
These possibilities I can not live with,
I'm starting to think it was just a myth.
Do I not meet your standards?
Cause you laughed at me when I was slandered.
You betrayed me and yet I still hope,
that I wont have to use my ladder and rope.
I want to be here, You are my heart,
deep down I pray that we will never part.
Just give me the word and all will be ok,
just give me the word and I will go away.
Tell me, does your heart need to wander?
Because all of this is too much to ponder.
Thinking of reasons we can not be,
perhaps you developed an allergy to me.
