A girl walks across the field for her 5th grade graduation.
At the other end stood her mother and father.
Hand in hand they walked to get her papers.
She is now part of a middle school team.
3 years pass, the once young girl becomes a teenager.
It is time for her 8th grade graduation.
Looking down the field for yet another walk.
She sees her mother fighting with her father.
Her father leaves before she could reach them.
Holding back her tears, and biting at her lip.
Walks strongly to become a freshman in high school.
4 years pass so fast.
Driving and dating.
It is time to graduate once again.
For the last time with all her friends.
Walking across the stage, not a field this time.
Looking in the crowd hoping to see her father,
she loves so dear.
Almost breaking down in tears,
finally relizing it was her mother with her all these years.
She relizes that trying to hard to get her father to love her.
Didn't take the time to see how wonderful her mother really was.
She doesn't see her father this time.
Tons of questions enter her head.
Does he not love me? What did i do?
When she reaches the podium,
to recieve her diploma,
looks at her mother and begins to cry.
Take A Walk across the stage, now.
To rejoin your friends.
Feeling no pain, no hate, just me.
