Goodbye

You want to let go and say 'Goodbye' ,
But it seems you can't, so you just cry;
You sit and think, "I don't know why,
Why can't you just be gone and die?"

Your friends tell you, " Hold on, you'll survive,
and sooner or later be greatful your alive,"
so you wait a few days, and don't take a dive,
into heaven someday, you'll soon arrive.

You succeeded, and everything will now be alright.
you come up to heaven's gates, so pearly white,
You see what your missing down through the light,
You wish you could take back what happened last night.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This poem is written about my very good friend Brian,
so to all of you who are on the brink, just hold on.
