She lived for love, a love too late
She wasn’t around to appreciate
The people she needed were there all along
She never realized her feelings were wrong
She hated herself more than anyone could know
She knew it then, she just had to let go
Her family never knew the pain she endured
The pain she cried could never be heard
Day in, day out, her soar heart strained
Her funeral was held one day in the rain
She cried down on everyone who couldn’t understand
It wasn’t their fault, they couldn’t take her hand

Read this story over again and realize
The pain you hold can all be lies
Somebody loves you, somebody cares
Look at the love that they all share
It’s never the end and it’s never too late
Just stick around to appreciate
That girl didn’t and missed out on her need
Nobody loved her, or so she believed
I tell you this now and hope you will see
I am right and believing that will set you free
