Tis' the night on that
fateful day,
when she turned to her love to hear him say,
"my sweet misty it's you i love",
"your like an angel that came from above."
She turned back around and walked away,
she just left him there & never to stay.
She knew he betrayed her with that other girl,
That girl with long legs and a necklace of pearls.
She sat on her lonely bed and thought to herself,
What has she done to deserve her heart to melt.
Nothing, she knew it was just all him,
She was sweet misty and would never comit sin.
But even if she believed that her heart would never allow,
she had to do something and had to do it now.
so she ran to her dresser and took out a paper & pen,
to write a goodbye letter and to him she would send.
she took the letter and sliped it into his mailbox,
Then went to the backyard her hair long with blonde locks.
out in the cold yard she took a chair and a rope,
tied it around her neck & then gave a little mope.
As she let the chair slip from under her feet,
not one scream came not even a peep.
but when morning came and the boy was awoke,
he read the letter and let out the biggest choke.
fore on that letter sweet misty has wrote,
"My love my heart i care for you so,
but my life has been chrushed not so long ago.
you know why i see it in your eye,
but now that i hang here i hope your heart has died.
Because you did this to me my love my heart,
you took my life and torn it apart."
And has he read this everything was shattered,
everything to him that really mattered.
Sweet misty was wrong to all that it seemed,
because all it was,was just a former dream.
