Broken At The Seams

Everyone gives you those sympathy smiles and says you poor thing
Once they walk away, their is sympathy gone- they really don’t care
But they have no clue how once it slips their mind, you’re still running
Everything is going so fast, to stop your wouldn’t dare
You're trying to escape the ghost of your past
You feel like you're losing control all day long and you can’t slow
down
You replay it over and over in your mind wondering how it happened so fast
People all around you know who you are, you just want to leave town
He broke your entire life open at the seams
No matter how hard you try, you can’t put it back together
Not while he’s always there- he’s everywhere, even your dreams
You try so hard, but the seams of your broken heart won’t dare tether
Everyone’s fake smiles do nothing when you're broken inside
They all say aw poor thing, but it doesn’t mean a thing now
It’s too late for them to help; you know all you can do is hide
You just want to fix this all, make it go away, but how?
Maybe it will all go away, maybe this isn’t real,
Every thought goes through your head
But you know that for the rest of your life this is how you’ll feel
