Trying to quench my desire-
trying to sate this wicked thirst
as if your vanity could comfort me
and your false passion save me from emptiness
Why?
I don't want to be near you
I don't want to feel you
Nothing from you can ever be fullfilling
Knowing this, why can't I even trust my own heart?
I should never return to you
yet I do
I keep coming back to you-
my unworthy companion
and you always welcome just the same:
Coolly, confidently
because you want to destroy me
and you know that I'll come back to you
