What I have to do..
Is get away from you..
So we can both live in peace
And destruction will not come our way.
To save you from my misery, I will be gone after today...
I will finally find my sanctuary
As I spread my wings and fly.
I don't need anyone..
As long as I've got me myself and I.
You can remember me forever,
Because I'll never forget you.
I hope you can forgive me
for what I'm about to do.
As the western sky sets on the horizon,
I'll be gone by the morning light.
In spirit we will meet again,
You needn't worry,
Everything will be alright.
I'll be thinking of you when I touch the clouds.
And the sun and I join as one.
I know I will make you proud.
When I finally find my haven,
When my sunlit mission is done.
