The football field
The track around it
The peacefulness
Running to get ready
All alone yet I
Keep running for hours apon hours
Moms come with their kids
Walking around the track
They leave
Adults who used to be
Awesome athletes in their schools
Their abilities spent they run to keep old age away
I continue to run
Until darkness comes
The lights turn on
I am still alone
Eventually I will stumble
Eventually I will fall
But I keep running
And someday I will be home
