I am more than I seem,
I wonder why we are afraid of death,
I hear life all around me,
I see the pain we all go through,
I want to make things beter but I can't,
I am more than I seem,

I pretend that things are better than they really seem,
I feel the things that no one knows about,
I touch more than the heart with my poems,
I worry about what people think of me,
I cry knowing that the world underneath me is falling apart,
I am more than I seem,

I understand that I'm not a perfect person,
I say what I truly think,
I dream that one day we will all be understood,
I try to see the best in anything and everything,
I hope that I will always be an outgoing, outspoken person,
I am more than I seem.
