The Dance

Our souls are locked in the endless dance
Are we bound by fate or chance
Flowing like an ocean tide
Soaring through the Sands of Time

Our hearts pulse as one to set the beat
It’s your love that moves my feet
As we move apart, sorrow takes sway
Thoughts of you see me through the day

I used to dread love, the anger, the pain
Now I’ve fallen for you, my fear is slain
When I’m with you, I feel at home
Like rhythm on harmony, an inner shalom

And then I close my eyes for seconds,
And forever passes by.
You promised me a lifetime,
But just for moments you were mine.

You said you’d always love me,
And pick me up when I was down.
You made the world crash around me.
And you stole away my crown.

I stumble and I fall,
And my body hits the floor.
As the Chains of Life are broken,
My soul finally soars.
