Black Roses

Black Roses.
They wilt and decay
just as I am, while here I lay.
Thinking of you.
As I think of you, the rain pours down
and slowly washes my tears away.
Though it's too late for me
I want you to move forward.
Find beauty in love, a promising word.
Just please don't break her heart
as you did mine.
You took everything...
and how can I fly with broken wings?
That's why this puddle's consuming me
this lush, crimson puddle of blood.
As I die alone in the mud.
