Wading through a river
of my wants, desires, and dreams.
I stumble ever slowly
through my heart's subconcious streams.

Scaling rocky mountains
Toward my mind's unreachable goal.
Running near exhaustion
Just to try and pay the toll.

Truding through the swamps
of my insecurities and fears.
Fighting off the demons
I've built throughout the years.

But there is a greater reason
For everything I've done.
A prize does wait in darkness
For which I've left the sun.

There is no river that is too wide
Nor mountain that is too high.
I will fight for your heart
Until the day I die.
