remebermy first day of school
when i cried forever because
i was scared
when i lost my first tooth
and remeber my fifth grade graduation
and i had to play "ode to joy"
on a recorder
and remeber when we move
and i couldnt go to the middle
school that i wanted
and remeber when mommy
bought me a present because
i made beta club
remeber when i cried for weeks
when i found out that my best friends
mother died
and when i cried because i didnt get
accepted into the high school i wanted
and rember when i completed my
first year of high school
and remeber when i finally started playin a sport
and when i got my field hockey uniform
wait you dont remeber
oh i forgot you werent there
you said you'd always be there
if i needed a friend
if i got hurt you'd be there
to stick i a scooby doo band-aid on me
and kiss my boo boo to
make me feel better
you said if anyone ever broke my heart
you'd be there to tell me everything was
ok and that the were the ones missin out
but you know what your missin out
on a life you'll never had
you said you'll always be there
but your not
