farewell

Daylight comes around the corner,
asking me to follow through.
On the journey to find myself.
She wants me to say goodbye to you.

As I ride alone on Highway 75,
Melancholy speaks to me.
Reflecting courage that I got from you
and without it man my skies would never be blue

I give a farewell to the dark clouds
shadowing my sunshine.
I'm hoping to find...a place where I can call mine.
My best intentions are at your reach.
I'll never forget the lessons that you taught me...
Farewell.

Sometimes chaos gets the best of me.
Got skilled at finding places to hide.
No progression dwells in fake sanctuaries.
Mama said seek sanctity inside.

I write to discover the truth about me.
A need for faith and peace of mind.
You saw me when i was invisble to myself.
My heart crys to to leave the past behind.

I give a farewell to the dark clouds
shadowing my sunshine.
I'm hoping to find...a place where I can call mine.
My best intentions are at your reach.
I'll never forget the lessons that you taught me...
Farewell.
