"please let me go"

these simple words
could mean many things
she says them to try
to give herself wings
no matter how good
she tries to be
he always finds a way
to not let her free.

"im like a butterfly trapped in its own cacoon"

how she feels about herself
when he enters a room
is always the same
he means danger and doom
she tries to change
to get free of his ways
but everytime she does
it leaves her bruised for days

"i dont have feelings for you anymor"

what she wished she could say
was i dont feel at all
everytime she rose up
he hit and she'd fall
every touch he made
every word he said
even now was still ringing
inside of her head

"im free"

these words meant more
than he understood
though she still remembered
she'd forget....she would!
so now she could go out
be herself with others
she realy needed that now
she was about to be a mother
