Inside
I know they look at me
And see everything that
They wish I could be,
They see the bad and not the good,
They see the weak and not the strong
Never the right but always the wrong
I search for approval in their eyes
And when its not there
I cry out in frustration
I know I could be
Everything they see
If they'd just let me try
But for now
I close my eyes and sigh
And try another time
Because I know someday
I'll do it just right
And they'll finally see
What I already knew I had
Inside.
