To my love
All my life I have wandered aimlessly, searching for a lover’s divinity
unparalleled and then you come.
Rugged, worn, and weary from the baggage on you back.
Your kisses communicate need and desire but your actions are cold, and you
reject my heart without words. The red moon shines, beckoning me to follow
an independent path.
To not settle for those who have internal wounds, that seep through the
eyes. My handkerchief is moist from the tears that flow. Tears that will not
flow forever, I know.
My love for you is like my love for the rain. It is steady and it is pure.
It is an inconvenience but it is necessary for my life. It nourshes my body
and my soul.
It allows me to be free. But the rains only pours when it is ready…..as do
you. I will not wait for the rain. It will come when it is ready.
I’ve worshipped your soul and allowed myself to envelope the hope that your
love will come through my door and shower me with beaded kisses, and goblets
full of longing.
