Blind Hate

I wished we had no strings attached
I wished I could forget the past
I wished you would keep quiet and stop the lies
I wished you could watch your life flash before your eyes

If I had never met you
Would I have turned out different
If I had never seen you
Would I have welcomed you into my life
It drives me crazy
But blame is only an excuse
You're the one I want to accuse
This synthetic relationship will have to be killed

I can only regret
What's done is done
Twists and turns
Taken along the road my hate runs
I do mean to tell you
Drag you down with me into honesty
But when I try, I refuse
Knowing that I still have a portion of heart for you
Not enough to like
Just over the insufficient amount to keep you alive.
