Stand back and watch me
I'm getting ready to unfold!
I've decided to set my spirit free
I'm ready to become the woman I was meant to be
I've always been someone daughter, ex-wife or mother
and now its time for me to take charge
I've been pondering all this time trying to decide just who I am
was I like Haily Berry
then I had the notion that simply just because others had more seniority
than I they could decide who I was
I played by the rules that were expected and seldom asked why
I've had my wings closed up, but now I'm ready to fly
I've been awakened by your presence and I finally see the light
I'm about to make some changes, set a few things right
with my new attitude and the knowledge I possess
I may create a new world or soar the open space
stand back and watch me I'm ready to fly high become all I am to be
I'm ready to unfold
