You were there for a while
Though I don’t really remember
But I can still see your smile
As you'd look at me with love in your eyes
I was your little everything
But oh how time flies
Pretty soon I was four
And you were no more
You died so suddenly
I was so young and didn’t understand
Why this had to happen
Was this all planned?
I miss you so much
Life is so hard without you
I long for you loving touch
And the way you'd sing me to sleep
Never would I weep
With a mother like you
You were so perfect
Through my little view
I was but four
And had lost everything I knew
I wish everyday that you could just come back
Couldn’t God just cut me some slack?
Just make one exception to that dying rule
But he can't
I'm just playing myself as a fool
So until that time when I see you again
Just remember I love you…
amen

^my mom was murdered when i was four...
