The Girl In The Display Case

I am the girl in the display case,
standing there for all to see,
I might as well be naked,
the way you're all staring.

You won't go away,
no matter how I try,
I cover up,
I turn away.

And still you persist.
you glare,
you point,
you laugh.

"Look at her,"
you say.
"What a freak,"
you proclaim.

Well we shall see,
my dear friends,
who is laughing in the end?
Yes we shall see.

And so I sit,
plotting your demise,
as you continue to laugh,
and play your tricks.

I ponder it often,
dwelling on all aspects of my plan,
going through all of it,
until I can make no mistake.

And you,
you foolish humans,
stupid in your mortality,
don’t even see it coming.

You are once talking and laughing,
but within mere seconds are on your backs,
staring bewildered into the bloody Sky,
as your bodies simmer and burn.

Fire is everywhere,
and you are all dead,
all at my hands,
those of the girl in the display case.
