The World Will End In Fire

Never could see quite why
You and me
Bothered trying to be
With tight jackets
Ripped jeans
Hair just long enough
Play the guitar and I’ll
Brew some tea
Drink too much
Vodka liquers cider
Such an inelegant
Lady I trip and laugh
With everyone

We both believed we
Were living for the day
Burning out
Dying young
With here then gone families
All of us smiling
No one gets older
And no one ever gets ugly
I wait for Fridays

Lets smoke some Marlboro Lights
I’ll snag my last pair of tights
When we kiss it feels so right
In that cliched way
We so should be in love.
