You shattered my heart
without apology
All you did was run

You had me thinking we had it all
I thought everything was okay
You made me believe you
But then you left me there to fall

I was feeling so great
but then you did this
you lied to me, then ran away
now im in a whole different state

Im in a state of madness
a state of sadness
a state of anger
a state of rage
I have to go through all this as I age

Everything is twisting and turning
now im finally learning

next time ill know to be aware
i wont let myself be pulled into such a thing
ill think before i let my heart tear
