GERARDS LOSS

Today my world was shattered
A simple phone call crumbled my foundation
And I was trapped beneath its destruction
Tears flowed for hours, I sat helpless
Like and animal waiting to be devoured
And in this revenge or whatever the truth was
Someone’s life was destroyed
And innocent bystander there of her own free will
Yet imprisoned by a love that was stronger than any cage

Her future now would be so different than she imagined
For the pictured she painted is now fading
And darkness rest upon her canvas
The colors that were once vibrant
Are turning to shades of gray
And the sun that shined have become storms
The rain can’t even drown her pain
Her voice silenced, for she has no words
But inside her heart screams I love you still

The damage is over and the healing needs to begin
I don’t think I will ever recover
Pieces of my life are now shattered forever
There is no way to fix it, the wounds are deep
The pain pierces my soul a thousand times over
My heart bleeds beyond repair
What I have lost was love
The only thing I searched for my whole life
For me it was a rare gem
And for him he lost me, for you see
I was the treasure…..

To g, my pain is deep
My tears are many
My heart it now bleeds
