Rome is an understatement

I was tought to keep my thoughts above ground
Leaving behind optimism, what can you turn to if no ones around
Trying hard to keep a fractured heart pointing towards the sky
All these thoughts and memories keep me four steps behind
Theres no escape from downtimes ,and reminders that your alone
But seeping into these depths is like the tragedy of Rome
The violins will play as my emotions fall with the city
Every road leads to here, but who needs this pity?
Theres nothing worse than receiving sorrow from a stranger in least
Someone who knows less about you than that last love in diseace
I find it humorous that this was all self imposed
Regrets the biggest issue in this town no body knows
Words are understatements that characterize emotion
Saying i am "sad" or "blue" is just emphasizing the
erosion
Of a language that has sounds that tear people apart
I just want you to know you can have this "broken heart"
Its all in the perspective, is it "broken" or "free"
But again these words just don't meen anything to me
