Love's Inner Beauty

Entring slowly, I try not to rush
The vision I wish to see so very much
The vision of a rose, a rose in bloom
A tiny, shy bud to brighten the room
First, it started by turning bright red
Brightened, it seemed, by the words I had said
Expressing the world without a single soud
Followed by a footstep softly hitting the ground
It started to bud in my loving stare
Showing me that it truly does care
A few times it paused, to check the light
In order to bloom, everything had to be just right
But with soothing words, a loving touch
And a nurturing care that was needed so much
It blossomed faster then I ever knew it could
He showed all of his beauty, just as he should
His petals opened to reveal an amazing grace
With lushus color to brighten this dreary place
When the rose realized what he had done
He immediately closed and from my love shun
But it was too late, I had seen his beauty in full
It captured my heart and there it will rule
He, not forgetting of all the pain before
Dropped petal after petal, each pounding onto the floor
He desperatly tried to force his petals away
Although he knew they were here to stay
Slowly and blissfully, I walked toward the rose
Caressing him softly, I brought the flower to my nose
I took a sweet breath of love and serenity
And fell before my love onto bended knee
I then picked up the petals in wjich he had dropped
Convincing the rose that he must be stopped
Fully opened, I love what I see
I don't want that beauty to be hidden from me
I now hold the pedals dear to my heart
Vowing to the rose that I will never part
I know that the rose cannot last forever
But atleast we'll have known we made it through together
I'll always keep those petals close to my heart
For those are the secrets that, from me, will never part
From bud to blossom, from beauty to death
I will love that rose until my last breath
The petals will be burried with me, just as I said
As we'll both lay eternally in our correlative resting bed
